1945 – Distinguished History
May & William Wilcox meet aged just 17 & 15 years old. Both are hard working and determined to make a better life for themselves. William is already working in Sales as a Hot and Cold Man (Home & Colonial Stores Sales Man). They dream of running their own business and marry five years later in 1939 with William then joining the war. Upon being disbanded from the war, William Wilcox (affectionately known as Bill) obtained the contract from Ealing Studio’s to supply vehicle services and began chauffeuring the actors and film crew.
Bill soon realised that rather than hiring the Limousines to do this he could buy and sell the Limousines himself. Soon, Funeral Directors who were purchasing the Limousines started asking for Hearses too.
