The first ever New Mercedes Hearse & Limousine designed and built by Wilcox Limousines has launched in the UK – designed to be the largest Mercedes funeral fleet available to meet the growing demand for larger vehicles.

Wilcox Mercedes Hybrid Hearse
Wilcox Limousines will launch and display for the first time their brand-new Mercedes E– class Hearse and Limousine at the National Funeral Exhibition 2022, making it the first NFE event where Wilcox take on two stands, featuring the latest additions to the Wilcox collection, including the newly launched Bentley Flying Spur Hearse & Limousine and the all-electric Nissan Hearse.
For the past two years, Wilcox have been focusing on developing and growing the business internally and externally following on from a £1 million investment into training and restructuring, which has vastly improved the build quality and design of the vehicles for the 70+ year old family run business.
In response to consumer research, The Wilcox Team studied the market and the needs of funeral directors to devise the ideal Mercedes Hearse and Limousine. The E-Class Hearse and Limousine provide an exemplary level of quality, outstanding performance, and a multitude of intelligent technologies to ensure safety, comfort, and convenience in day-to-day funerals.
The new collection is Wilcox’s largest offering, and the largest in the UK. It is available in petrol, diesel, or petrol-hybrid models. Whilst this is the first Mercedes developed by Wilcox, the team has vast experience in building funeral vehicles with over 70 years in the funeral industry and has built and improved existing Mercedes builds in their used vehicle range.
The team have spent the last two years adapting and refining their skills to deliver market leading quality, whilst retaining their family values, using the latest CAD technology, engineering techniques and durability assessments to ensure high-quality automotive standards.
As a ULEZ compliant vehicle, the Mercedes boasts lower fuel and CO2 emissions, with very little trace of NOx emissions meaning this lowers the running costs. These new vehicles herald a new era for a greener future for conscious Funeral Directors.
Orders taken until 1st July 2022 will not be subject to price increases. Watch our latest video on the website on how fuel prices are currently effecting the funeral industry.
