Leila Wilcox has officially joined the family business team at Wilcox Limousines, adding to the third generation of the eponymous family working in the business.

Leila, 33, daughter of CEO Paul, will run the PR and marketing function of the family business. She has spent the past 13 years in business, specialising in innovation and entrepreneurship and launched two successful businesses from scratch.

“Leila will bring experience in global and prestige sales, consumer loyalty and new innovations, as well as a wealth of experience in PR and marketing,” said Paul.

“We are proud to have her on board.”

The other member of the Wilcox family’s third generation at the firm is Louis, who has 22 years experience as funeral director and sales director.

“In such turbulent times it’s fantastic to see the next generation coming into the family business,” added Paul.

“It reflects the business’s stability and growth, allowing us to introduce new initiatives and deliver even more excellence to our customers. We believe in delivering the highest customer service for the very best funeral vehicles in the world.”

There are new initiatives happening within the company, including a revamped website and online videos that show how the vehicles are built and offer a virtual tour of the flagship Wigan Factory.

The company now sends out a regular online newsletter and its presence on social media sites YouTube, Facebook and Twitter is growing. A customer loyalty scheme is also in the pipeline.

“Many of Wilcox’s customers have been buying vehicles from us since my Granddad launched in 1945 and have know me since I born,” said Leila. “It’s really exciting to look at ways of how we can work together even more closely and help these loyal customers.”
